It has been a rough few weeks for us content wise. McKenzie and Ian were on vacation with no internet for over a week, and I was out of town with a comic convention for a week that was followed immediately by a second con. Coming back from those, Ian got a healthy dose of COVID and I got an unrelated eye infection. Interestingly, an eye infection made eating somewhat unpalatable and also made a 5 hour drive into a 7 hour one.
Be that as it may, in the post-con/post-hospital-ward aftermath, there is loads (are loads? shall be loads? will be loads?) of content to update.
First off, in no particular order, is McKenzie with The Romance of the Forest by Ann Radcliffe, an early gothic novel. As well as more short fiction publication material.
I am a little unsure on Ian’s side as he has been attempting to beat COVID into submission through a nice hard regimen of sleep excess.
I would put my status at about 1.62 eyes. Which is a lot better than my driving time yesterday which was closer to 1.18 eyes. I feel I shall be at a solid 2 eyes (give or take .16) by Tuesday evening. I hear you asking how I have such precise numbers with regards to this. Well, there is a long scientific formula I am utilizing that measures the circumference of the eye, length of the eyelids, thickness of the eyelids, activity of the rods and cones, coupled with the amount of water drunk in a 24 hour period. All of this was written on a bar napkin.
Things I have on tap for the site: Post Nebula Award write up (Did I mention I went to the Nebulas?). Review of a book called The River Has Roots. I saw Final Destination Bloodlines. Need to watch the last part of the Fear Street trilogy. Have several other movies I need to put pen to paper on.
An update on writing in general, I have several projects I’m working on this week that I will give more details on next week.
An update on the comic Ian and I are putting together. The inked pages are done. Ian is working on the colors. This week I will get busy on the lettering as well as setting up the Kickstarter page. So expect more updates on that next week.
For now though… That is all. (Although I do realize we have had a weird pattern in that of the last 5 posts, 3 have been Roundups. That percentage will be corrected this week.)
