Captain America: Brave New World

Rating: 9 out of 10.

Marvel’s latest in the MCU, Captain America: Brave New World is absolutely fantastic, and I’m not just saying that because it came out on my birthday. Anthony Mackie reprises his role as Sam Wilson in his first of what I hope to be many films featuring him as Captain America, Danny Ramirez returns as Joaquin Torres continuing to fill Wilson’s shoes as the Falcon, Harrison ford joins the MCU as Thaddeus Ross replacing the late William Hurt from the 2008 The Incredible Hulk movie, Giancarlo Esposito joined the MCU as well in the role of Sidewinder.

After the Eternals successfully stopped the birth of a titan form their world, its corpse remained partially protruding from the Indian Ocean. Since then adamantium has been discovered within it, and after Thaddeus Ross is elected president he aims to unify the country and the nations of the world with a treaty to share the resources and technological advancements from the discovery of adamantium.

Even with Marvel showing Red Hulk in the trailer, the transformation of the red hulk was still awesome, watching a Captain America with no super serum go toe to toe with a hulk and prioritize saving lives mid battle as well was also awesome. All around this is a great movie that I look forward to adding to my 4k shelf and rewatching. Despite not having any complaints, it didn’t feel like an exceptional 10/10 or gold star movie. I didn’t leave the theater saying, “Oh wow that was awesome!” more just, “That was a really good movie.”

9 stars, looking forward to the next few MCU films Fantastic 4, Thunderbolts, World War Hulk.
